Position Overview
The Senior Executive Advisor is a high-level professional role responsible for providing strategic analysis, decision-making support, business optimization recommendations, and guidance on major projects to senior management—typically the CEO, the Board of Directors, Senior Vice Presidents, or business unit heads.
By conducting in-depth analyses of corporate strategy, market environments, operational status, and organizational capabilities, the incumbent provides management with professional insights, solution designs, and execution support, assisting the enterprise in implementing strategies, improving operational performance, and resolving complex business issues.
The Senior Executive Advisor typically assumes a dual role—acting as both a "strategic advisor" and an "execution facilitator"—bridging the gap between executive decision-makers and operational teams to drive the effective implementation of key strategic initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
I. Executive-Level Strategic Consulting and Decision Support
Provide strategic analysis and decision-making recommendations to the CEO, the Board of Directors, and the senior management team;
Research industry trends, market dynamics, the competitive landscape, and business opportunities;
Assist in formulating corporate strategic plans and business development directions;
Support major operational decisions and strategic choices.
II. Support for Corporate Strategy Execution
Assist management in driving the implementation of corporate strategic goals;
Translate strategic objectives into execution plans, action schemes, and key tasks;
Monitor the progress of strategy execution and business outcomes;
Identify issues during the execution process and propose optimization recommendations. III. Major Project Management and Execution
Participate in key strategic, transformation, and growth projects;
Coordinate cross-functional resources to drive project implementation;
Manage project objectives, timelines, risks, and deliverables;
Ensure key projects progress according to plan.
IV. Operational Analysis and Business Optimization
Conduct analysis of operational data and business diagnostics;
Evaluate operational efficiency, cost structures, and profitability;
Identify opportunities for business improvement and propose solutions;
Support the enhancement of operational performance.
V. Organizational Change and Management Optimization
Support organizational restructuring, process optimization, and management system upgrades;
Analyze organizational capabilities and operational bottlenecks;
Assist in designing change initiatives and implementation roadmaps;
Drive the improvement of organizational management capabilities.
VI. Cross-functional Coordination and Communication
Coordinate across departments such as Strategy, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, Sales, and HR;
Drive the execution of key cross-functional initiatives;
Facilitate information sharing and resource integration;
Resolve complex issues regarding cross-functional collaboration.
VII. Market Research and Business Insights
Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, and market trend analysis;
Identify potential growth opportunities and risks;
Support the exploration of new businesses, markets, and business models;
Provide high-value business insights.
VIII. Management Reporting and Executive Communication
Prepare strategic analysis reports, operational analysis reports, and project status updates;
Provide senior management with updates on execution progress and risk analysis;
Support decision-making and strategic discussions in executive meetings;
Serve as an information bridge between senior management and business teams.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher;
Majors in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Economics, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering Management, or related fields;
MBA, EMBA, or a Master’s degree in Management Consulting is preferred.
Work Experience
20+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, operations management, or senior project management;
8–15+ years of experience in senior consulting, strategy management, corporate development, or management roles;
Experience working in large enterprises, multinational corporations, consulting firms, or high-growth companies;
Proven experience in corporate strategic planning, business transformation, organizational optimization, or major project management.
