About the Team
This role is within the Asia Strategies department, focusing on developing investment strategies, generating alpha, and researching macroeconomic trends across the region.
About Your Role
As an Equity Quantitative Research Associate, you will join a PM-led pod focusing on systematic macro and long/short equity strategies in APAC. Your work will span from idea generation to testing, portfolio optimization, and implementation, with continuous oversight and collaboration with data engineers, developers, and researchers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive systematic research process including idea generation and data modeling.
- Monitor risk drivers, generate ideas for signal improvement, and propose discretionary trades.
- Identify new datasets and adopt latest academic research developments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve research platforms and data ecosystems.
What You Bring
- 1-4 years of quantitative research experience in finance.
- Strong mathematical and statistical modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Python or R; SQL and Snowflake experience.
- Familiarity with factor models and trading in Asian markets.
- Willingness to learn Scala and new technologies.
Physical Requirements
The role requires four onsite days per week at either the New York City campus or the Singapore office.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary is expected to be between $250,000 and $300,000, with additional discretionary bonuses and a competitive suite of benefits.
