Position Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst (Private Markets) who can deliver on strategic priorities, collaborate deeply with stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of high value data products.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Lead sessions with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify needs, and secure signoff
  • Produce and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Source-to-Target Mapping documents (STM), and all data analysis documentation
  • Work closely with private markets stakeholders to capture data requirements related to securities, holdings, transactions, trading cycles, and general capital markets lifecycle data
  • Perform data analysis, profiling, data quality checks, and metadata capture across investment datasets
  • Collaborate with Data Modelers to validate mappings, support model development, and ensure completeness of the data asset
  • Liaise across teams to align on requirements, dependencies, and delivery expectations
  • Lead UAT planning and facilitation with business teams, ensuring all scenarios are validated and approved
  • Validate data work using SQL and data warehouse concepts such as dimensions, facts, and lineage
  • Support Agile practices including story creation, prioritization, backlog grooming, and standups as required

Workplace

Ideally located near Toronto for a hybrid schedule. Remote within Canada may be considered for strong candidates.

Must Have Skills

  • 7–10 years of Data Analyst experience, ideally in wealth, investments, institutional, or general accounts domains
  • Strong domain expertise in private markets, including securities, holdings, transactions, trading cycles, and understanding of public vs. private markets
  • Experience with datacentric projects such as MDM, data integration, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics
  • Strong SQL skills for deep data validation and investigation
  • Ability to create BRDs, STMs, and documentation in complex environments under deadlines
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and data modeling fundamentals.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with trading platforms or investment systems such as SimCorp, Bloomberg/Polar Lake, Eagle, Charles River, or similar
  • Exposure to Azure or Databricks

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Bridgenext provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as described above. The current salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 CAD annually. Our comprehensive total rewards program goes way beyond a competitive salary.
