The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for enhancing quality through structured testing processes and continuous feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze product requirements, UI/UX designs, and acceptance criteria to identify comprehensive test scenarios and functional coverage gaps.
  • Take ownership of the test strategy for key features and components within Second Sight Solutions applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and scalable automated test cases for new features and enhancements.
  • Participate actively in requirement refinement sessions to ensure clarity, feasibility, and testability of new features.
  • Execute manual functional, exploratory, smoke, and regression tests across various web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with diverse functional teams, including product managers, software developers, designers, and DevOps, to identify risks, define testability, and deliver creative testing solutions that ensure features are high-quality and delivered promptly.
  • Provide early feedback to proactively uncover issues prior to implementation.
  • Improve testing processes through research, evaluation of new tools, optimization of existing tests for speed and reliability, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Identify opportunities for automation where appropriate and collaborate effectively with automation engineers.
  • Perform critical validation in staging and production environments before product releases.
  • Support release validation efforts and provide clear recommendations based on thorough testing results and comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Prepare detailed quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Update and maintain all documentation related to quality assurance testing policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a functional Quality Assurance Engineer role is required.
  • Demonstrated experience testing SaaS or cloud-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and agile processes.
  • Proven experience in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and comprehensive reports.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools.
  • Experience utilizing bug-tracking and test management tools.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Candidate must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
