Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant at Braxtone Group is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements and regulatory reporting documents in accordance with applicable standards. The role includes managing month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records.

Key tasks include:

• Analyzing financial data to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborating with external auditors for regulatory adherence.
• Developing comprehensive budgets and financial plans based on market analysis.
• Performing monthly account reconciliations and maintaining ledger accuracy.
• Providing financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decisions.
• Implementing robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assisting in audit preparations and coordinating internal audit activities.
• Supervising the accounting team to ensure timely and quality deliverables.

Education And Experience

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the financial services sector, familiarity with international accounting standards, and multi-currency as well as multi-entity accounting environments is advantageous. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) along with advanced Excel skills are essential.
