Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Unit Clerk in the Emergency Department manages day-to-day clerical duties. Responsibilities include maintenance of health records, processing orders and payroll, and using Microsoft Office applications effectively. Experience with Meditech is considered an asset.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma and Medical Office Administration or equivalent.
  • Recent receptionist/clerical experience in a medical setting.
  • Experience in maintenance of health records, order processing, and payroll.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Meditech is an asset.

Mandatory Competencies

  • Strong critical thinking and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attendance, flexibility, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of chart assembly, ordering, and dismantling.
  • Superior interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient, worker, and workplace safety.
