Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Unit Clerk in the Emergency Department is responsible for daily clerical duties, maintaining health records, processing orders, and payroll functions.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Successful completion of Medical Office Administration or equivalent
  • Recent experience as a receptionist/clerical worker in a medical setting
  • Experience in maintaining health records, order processing, and payroll
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Meditech experience is an asset

Mandatory Competencies

  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Reliable, dependable, with excellent attendance and flexibility for all shifts
  • Ability to multitask and organize in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of chart assembling, ordering, and dismantling
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
