Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Unit Clerk - Emergency Department is responsible for day-to-day clerical duties including maintaining health records, processing orders, and supporting payroll operations.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Completion of Medical Office Administration or equivalent
  • Recent receptionist/clerical experience in a medical setting
  • Experience with health records, orders, and payroll
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Meditech is an asset

Mandatory Competencies

  • Strong critical thinking and excellent attendance
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with chart assembling and order processing
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Effective communication with personnel, patients and families
