Position Summary
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Unit Clerk - Emergency Department is responsible for day-to-day clerical duties including maintaining health records, processing orders, and supporting payroll operations.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma
- Completion of Medical Office Administration or equivalent
- Recent receptionist/clerical experience in a medical setting
- Experience with health records, orders, and payroll
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Meditech is an asset
Mandatory Competencies
- Strong critical thinking and excellent attendance
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with chart assembling and order processing
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Effective communication with personnel, patients and families
