Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst with a profound comprehension of information systems and computer usage principles. This role will primarily focus on phishing analysis, contributing significantly to our cybersecurity posture. Our ideal candidate will autonomously research and innovate solutions while enhancing workflow efficiency and process optimization. Familiarity with the NIST CSF Cyber Security Framework is essential.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security training modules tailored to our corporate environment, emphasizing incident response, phishing awareness, role-based training, and general security consciousness.
- Spearhead the management of a robust metrics framework to gauge employee adherence to information security policies and evaluate the efficacy of our security awareness initiatives.
- Cultivate a culture of security consciousness among employees, guiding them beyond mere policy compliance towards embracing a proactive security mindset.
- Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity best practices and emerging technologies, offering tailored security recommendations aligned with our specific operational requirements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across our systems, encompassing databases, applications, network infrastructure, and data storage solutions.
- Regularly update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and work instructions to ensure alignment with evolving cybersecurity practices.
- Actively participate in our Cybersecurity Incident Response Team, leveraging strategic approaches, standardized processes, and cutting-edge technologies to swiftly detect, respond to, and recover from security incidents, minimizing their impact and recurrence through risk-based triage protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or similar discipline or an associate degree and two years of SOC Analyst, IR team responder, or similar role.
- Security + or GSEC certification required or able to obtain within one year.
