Overview
The WordPress Developer role at Braintrust is a long-term, high-ownership position supporting the development and maintenance of nine crucial client-facing portals built in WordPress. These portals are essential for clients to access slidepacks and other resources, requiring high reliability and quality in their performance.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain high-availability WordPress websites.
- Manage and upkeep 9 portals essential to client operations.
- Ensure seamless user experiences for client logins and content downloads.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for website improvements.
- Implement WordPress best practices including theme and plugin customization.
- Rapidly troubleshoot technical issues and provide resolutions.
- Deliver projects on-time within set scopes and business goals.
- Support future scaling, enhancements, and performance optimization.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- 7+ years of professional development experience with deep WordPress expertise.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining high-traffic WordPress sites.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
- Understanding of WordPress security, user management, and content workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver reliable, fail-safe systems.
- Independent task management and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to start within 2–3 weeks and interest in a long-term contract (6+ months).
