About the Webmaster Full-Stack Web Developer Role at Braintrust
Braintrust is seeking a design-savvy Webmaster Full-Stack Web Developer for a contract role. This position involves migrating AI-built sites and legacy WordPress environments into modern Reflex (Python) frameworks, alongside handling on-demand development tasks. You will collaborate directly with the founder and a small, agile team.

What You’ll Do as a Webmaster Full-Stack Web Developer
- Migrate WordPress and AI-generated sites (Lovable, ChatGPT, Manus, etc.) into clean Reflex environments.
- Manage GitHub repositories, version control, and deployment workflows.
- QA, integrate, and clean up AI-generated code from multiple platforms.
- Connect and manage databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase, or similar).
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Handle DNS, hosting, SSL, and general site maintenance.
- Contribute to UI/UX decisions, requiring a strong design eye in addition to backend skills.
Requirements for the Webmaster Full-Stack Web Developer
- Availability during US business hours (Pacific Time preferred).
- Proven experience with Python web frameworks, ideally Reflex, or a strong ability to learn it quickly.
- Solid expertise in WordPress, including migrations, theme development, and plugin management.
- Proficiency with GitHub, encompassing CI/CD practices, Pull Requests, and Actions.
- Comfortable working with and refining AI-generated codebases.
- Extensive database management experience.
- Strong design sensibility in layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Responsive, proactive communication style, especially via Slack.
- Highly self-directed, capable of prioritizing tasks independently.
Nice to Have Skills
- Direct experience with Reflex.
- Familiarity with AI code generation tools such as Cursor, v0, and Bolt.
- Knowledge of SEO and performance optimization techniques.
Engagement Details
- This is a contract / freelance, ongoing position.
- Expect 5–10 hours/week, with potential for increased work across portfolio companies.
- US business hours are required.
- A 100-day pilot precedes a long-term commitment.
- Weekly status reports are mandatory.
