Job Description
The Sr Kubernetes Software Engineer role at Braintrust requires deep technical skills and proven experience in managing production environments at scale. This role is focused on ensuring robust and secure cloud architectures using Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, AWS, and Linux.
Technical Skills
- 5+ years with Amazon EKS in production.
- Expert-level Linux system administration with container-optimized distributions.
- 3+ years building and managing custom AMIs.
- Strong Golang development with 3+ years experience.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals and control plane components.
- Strong knowledge of AWS EC2, AMI management, and instance lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications: Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional.
- Kubernetes certifications: CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
- Experience with Karpenter and AWS Node Groups.
- Familiarity with Bottlerocket, TOML, and advanced Linux networking.
- Experience with AWS Systems Manager and CloudWatch.
- Understanding of Kubernetes scheduling algorithms and node affinity.
- Experience with security and vulnerability management.
