Overview
The Senior Product Designer at Braintrust will develop top-quality digital products for new and upcoming startups while collaborating closely with startup partners. This role requires end-to-end ownership of the design process for major product areas critical to business success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research including interviews and surveys
- Translate research into sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes
- Define overall product functionality and iterate for optimal user experience
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and external stakeholders
- Facilitate UX research to identify design problems and opportunities
- Articulate design rationale addressing technical feasibility and business goals
- Design purposeful solutions focused on real user problems
- Establish and promote human-centred design principles and accessibility standards
- Contribute to the design system and visual language
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other designers
Requirements
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Designer or similar role within fast-paced SaaS environments. A strong portfolio demonstrating interaction, visual design, product strategy, and design thinking is essential. Experience with scalable design solutions, accessibility, and using Figma along with building design systems is required. Familiarity with lean/agile practices in startups, product teams, or agencies is a must.
Preferred qualifications include a diploma or degree in UX Design, Graphic Design, or related field, and experience in illustration and animation.
