Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong React and TypeScript front-end expertise and solid experience across a modern web application stack. This role focuses on refining and stabilizing an existing production-oriented SaaS application—not building from scratch.

This is a high-impact, part-time engagement for a senior engineer who can move quickly, work independently inside an existing codebase, and ship polished user experiences in limited hours.

Role Summary

You will take ownership of a critical front-door user experience flow and help prepare the product for early beta users. The work centers on improving, stabilizing, and deploying an existing web app and API—rather than building new greenfield features.

Phase 0 (Immediate Scope – 2–3 Weeks)

• Estimated: 20–30 hours total
• Focus: Deliver a polished, stable front-door UX flow.

Responsibilities:

• Audit and understand the existing codebase (revive-app + revive-api)
• Fix and finalize a defined UX flow:
  • Login
  • Animated splash / crossfade transition
  • File upload
  • Processing screen with progress indicator
  • Completion state
• Improve motion, transitions, and perceived performance
• Wire UI cleanly to existing backend endpoints
• Deploy a stable production build

Important: This is not a feature expansion phase. It is a focused UI/UX polish and stabilization effort on top of an existing backend.

Phase 1 (Next Step – 4–6 Weeks)

• Estimated: 30–60 hours total
• Focus: Production readiness and early-user stability.

Responsibilities:

• Deepen understanding of the current architecture
• Deploy and manage production infrastructure on AWS
• Stabilize the system for initial beta users
• Address bugs and small targeted improvements identified during audit
• Serve as the go-to technical owner during early rollout

Ongoing Engagement

• Light maintenance / SLA arrangement (a few hours per week)
• Project-based work for future feature phases
• Long-term collaboration potential for the right fit

This is not a 40-hour/week role. We are looking for a senior engineer who can deliver leveraged impact in a limited time commitment.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• Proven experience shipping production SaaS applications
• Strong React + TypeScript front-end expertise
• Experience working within and improving existing codebases
• Comfortable deploying and managing production environments on AWS
• Strong debugging and stabilization skills

Especially Important

• Ability to work effectively in someone else’s architecture (not just greenfield builds)
• Demonstrated examples of polished, motion-rich UI work:
  • Smooth transitions
  • Loaders and progress states
  • Thoughtful UX flow design
• Clear ownership mindset and ability to operate independently

Engagement Structure

• Phase 0: ~20–30 hours over ~2 weeks
• Phase 1: ~30–60 hours over 4–6 weeks
• Ongoing: Light weekly support + future project work
