DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Braintrust will design and implement a comprehensive local VM-based development and demonstration environment. This includes developing a fully self-contained microservices architecture simulation, creating robust CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing, and building infrastructure-as-code configurations for a repeatable and consistent environment setup.

What you'll be working on

Responsibilities

  • Set up Kubernetes cluster configuration on a local VM
  • Implement end-to-end CI/CD workflows using modern DevOps tools
  • Configure microservices including API gateway, user service, and database components
  • Develop observability solutions with monitoring and logging
  • Create documentation for environment setup and system architecture
  • Ensure the system is easily reproducible and runnable locally
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and use

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible
  • Strong background in CI/CD pipeline development
  • Proficiency in cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
