Job Description

As a Fractional Game Advisor at Braintrust, you will be located in the APAC region and provide crucial strategic guidance to the product and leadership team. This advisory role focuses on shaping game mechanics, enhancing user experience, and designing long-term engagement strategies for a global, consumer-facing, AI-powered application developed for a major IP partner.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an advisor with proven experience in delivering successful consumer-facing gaming applications that boast recurring users. A strong understanding of various key gaming elements is essential:

• Levelling and progression systems
• Leaderboards and competitive mechanics
• In-app incentives, rewards, and motivation loops

Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to advise on effective user retention strategies, engagement curves, and habit-forming mechanics. Experience in shaping an extended product roadmap, encompassing future feature pathways, the long-term evolution of game systems, and sustainable engagement beyond initial launch, is also critical.

Role Structure

This is an advisory role with flexible engagement, meaning hours may vary week to week. It is not a fixed contract or a day-to-day delivery position. The Fractional Game Advisor will provide strategic input on mechanics, user experience decisions, and the long-term game roadmap, collaborating closely with product, design, and leadership teams as required.
