Overview
The Editor role at Braintrust is a project-based contract position, with an initial rate of ~$300–$500/day (or ~$1,800–$3,000/week) depending on experience, starting in about 10 days. This remote position is restricted to candidates in the Americas time zones, ideally aligning with New York and Buenos Aires.
Role Description
We are seeking a fast-moving, highly skilled Editor with 5–7 years of professional experience in short-form, agency-facing content. The candidate will work on sizzle films, manifestos, case studies, visual prototypes and integrate AI-generated assets along with live action footage. Although we also produce a fiction "B-side", the core focus is on high-speed, narrative-driven, agency work.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form content including sizzle films, manifestos, case studies, and visual prototypes.
- Build narrative-driven edits; perform VO sync, alternate reads, music, and rhythm passes.
- Integrate AI-generated shots and workflows into the editorial process.
- Execute light motion finishing in After Effects.
- Perform quality control, versioning, and localizations.
- Collaborate in real-time with post coordinators and creative supervisors via Frame.io and WhatsApp.
- Coordinate with European teams in a fast-paced, 24-hour workflow.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional editing experience in a high-speed, short-form environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere.
- Strong working knowledge of After Effects (preferred).
- Practical experience with AI tools for video and voice-over workflows.
- Fluency in English; Spanish is a strong plus.
- High responsiveness and comfort working with globally distributed teams.
- Availability to work in Americas time zones, ideally EST or between New York and Buenos Aires.
