Job Description

Overview

Braintrust is seeking a senior, part-time Data Generalist for a 4-month contract (March–June) with potential extension. This remote role, based in North America, averages ~15 hours per week and plays a key part in analytics, data engineering, and MarTech initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Develop and optimize BigQuery datasets using partitioning, clustering, and query optimization.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines with Python, SQL, Fivetran, and dbt.
  • Create and support custom APIs using Cloud Functions or Cloud Run.
  • Implement event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub and orchestration via Cloud Composer or Cloud Workflows.
  • Apply IAM and security best practices, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Support marketing data use cases including attribution, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and API-based integrations.
  • Collaborate with the Martech Architect to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and clients.

Requirements

A strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Python, SQL, ETL design, and data modeling is required. Familiarity with dbt, data clean rooms, and API integrations is a plus. Experience with HIPAA compliance, PHI/PII handling, and marketing attribution is essential. Additional experience with tools such as Fivetran, Git, Terraform, Datadog, and analytics platforms like Tableau or Looker is highly valued.
