Etsy's Data Enablement platforms enable internal customers to produce, consume, and share high quality data. The team navigates a vast data ecosystem where engineers create intuitive tools and trusted data assets for diverse users.
About The Role
As a Data Engineer Gen AI at Braintrust, you will support the evaluation of GenAI for Looker and Looker Studio at Etsy. Your responsibilities include installing and testing Looker extensions or API plugins, identifying and deprecating unused dashboards, enhancing Looker modeling architecture for GenAI effectiveness, and supporting both engineering teams and analytic partners in model tuning.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and test Looker and Looker Studio extensions or API plugins.
- Identify and deprecate unused Looker dashboards.
- Improve Looker modeling architecture for enhanced GenAI capabilities.
- Support engineering teams and analytic partners with model tuning needs.
Requirements
Must-Haves: Experience with Looker, Tableau or similar data visualization tools; experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake); experience with Google Cloud and infrastructure as code.
Nice-to-Haves: Familiarity with Looker performance optimization, extensions and API plugins; understanding of the Looker Hub and Spoke Model; GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification.
Additional Details
This role is open to all work modes (remote, flex, on-site) with availability between 10AM and 6PM ET. It is a general project support role that is unlikely to extend or convert. The interview process includes a 30-minute hiring manager interview and a 30-60 minute technical assessment.
