Role Overview: Clinical Data Labeling - Gastroenterology Expert Contributor
We are collaborating with a research-driven AI organization developing advanced medical models designed to improve clinical reasoning, patient documentation, and healthcare decision support.
Braintrust is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologists to serve as Expert Contributors. In this role, you will apply your domain knowledge to review, annotate, and validate clinical data used to train and evaluate AI systems.
This is a unique opportunity to leverage your medical expertise to shape how artificial intelligence understands and reasons about gastrointestinal disorders, diagnostic procedures, and treatment planning in real-world care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and annotate clinical content, patient cases, and AI-generated summaries related to gastrointestinal conditions, procedures, and care pathways.
- Validate the clinical accuracy of diagnostic reasoning, treatment recommendations, and terminology specific to gastroenterology.
- Provide expert feedback on model outputs to ensure safety, realism, and alignment with evidence-based standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and data scientists to refine labeling frameworks and case-based guidelines.
- Support quality assurance reviews of clinical data to improve overall annotation accuracy and consistency.
Ideal Qualifications
- Licensed physician (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- Minimum 1 year of post-training clinical experience in gastroenterology practice (academic, community, or hospital-based).
- Strong understanding of GI disorders, endoscopy workflows, and clinical decision-making in both inpatient and outpatient contexts.
- Experience interpreting diagnostic reports, pathology findings, and procedure notes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle clinical inaccuracies.
- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured medical data (notes, cases, summaries).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in clinical documentation review, medical informatics, or AI/ML annotation.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR documentation standards, ICD/CPT coding, or medical terminology normalization.
- Interest in digital health and medical AI applications.
