Job Description
Overview
Bowman Consulting is seeking a Right of Way Agent II to join our team on a hybrid basis in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will handle various aspects of right-of-way and real estate activities, negotiating favorable terms for land and property interests on behalf of our client.
Purpose
Perform most aspects of right-of-way and real estate related activities including acquisition, relinquishment, and modification of easements, fee land purchases, and more.
Responsibilities
- Work under moderate supervision with guidance from senior staff.
- Identify land ownership from public records and analyze titles.
- Negotiate acquisitions of easements and other property interests.
- Review, prepare, and interpret land and right-of-way agreements.
- Maintain records of contact attempts and parcel data in the company database.
- Attend team meetings and assist in marketing the firm’s capabilities.
Success Metrics and Competencies
Ability to work both independently and collectively, strong communication skills, urgency in task management, marketing and business development aptitude, and a commitment to quality and client reputation.
Qualifications
- California real estate license required.
- High School diploma or GED with relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in land and right-of-way acquisition.
- Ability to obtain a professional real estate license if not already held.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% during busier periods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, and Google Earth.
