Environmental Field Technician
Bowman has an opportunity for an Environmental Field Technician (Part-Time/Seasonal) to join our team remotely in San Angelo, TX. Purpose
This position involves the collection and compilation of environmental data from sites including bat and avian monitoring across different phases of environmental work processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate field equipment and instruments carefully.
- Perform biological monitoring and species identification.
- Generate and log detailed field notes and data collection sheets.
- Perform basic calculations related to sampling data.
- Work under moderate supervision and review quality.
- Collaborate internally and externally with various stakeholders.

Key competencies include working independently or as a team, maintaining confidentiality, problem-solving, effective communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and growth.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred; Bachelor's is a plus.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with field equipment like 4x4 trucks, compass, tablet, range finder, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid state driver's license and successful motor vehicle check.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Primarily outdoor work with potential adverse weather conditions.
- Mobility on job sites requiring walking, bending, climbing, etc.
- Frequent use of data collection equipment and occasional travel.
- Occasional heavy lifting and physical exertion.
