About the role
Job Description
As a Porter at Bowery Residents' Committee, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of our facility, both interior and exterior. Your duties will include sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and windows, and managing garbage disposal. You will also assist with receiving deliveries, handling packages, and picking up supplies, while maintaining inventory. Light repair tasks and front desk coverage may also be part of your responsibilities.
Hours
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in housekeeping.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
- Vaccination is preferred but not required.
