Overview

The Training and Development Coordinator at Boulder County Sheriff's Office is responsible for application support, training program development, documentation, configuration, and process improvements. This role supports critical law enforcement applications and leads technology-related initiatives for the Sheriff’s Office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide troubleshooting, configuration, and testing for Sheriff’s Office applications.
  • Lead evaluation, design, planning, implementation, and deployment of new applications or upgrades.
  • Develop and deliver training materials including lesson plans, guides, and multimedia content.
  • Conduct training sessions for over 400 staff across multiple shifts.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure applications meet CJIS and security requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants must have five years’ experience as a peace officer with a preference for local Boulder County law enforcement experience. Project management skills and expertise in law enforcement records and jail management systems are preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
