About The Role
Boston University is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Analyst II to join its IS&T team. The role focuses on data migration, system integration, and operational support, particularly migrating research compliance and grants management systems to the Huron Research Suite. The candidate will design and maintain system integrations, troubleshoot issues, and provide functional support for modules like IACUC, AOps, and COI.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, system integration, or related roles
- Experience with system integrations, APIs, ETL tools, and batch processing
- Proven background in data migration including mapping, cleansing, and validation
- Familiarity with research administration platforms (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integration jobs between Huron modules and other university systems
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize APIs, ETL processes, and batch jobs
- Monitor integration performance and implement error handling and logging mechanisms
- Provide functional support for Huron Research Suite modules
- Document system configurations and troubleshooting procedures to ensure continuity
- Support data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration requirements and execute test migrations
- Assist in system upgrades, module implementations, and regression testing
- Identify automation opportunities and process improvements
- Partner with IT and research administration staff to align technical solutions with needs
