The Compensation Analyst at Boston University is responsible for coordinating daily transactional review of compensation inquiries and requests. This role evaluates new job titles, conducts reclassification evaluations, and advises on competitive and equitable compensation levels for new hire offers through thorough analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and interpretation of external and internal benchmarking.
- Participate in University-wide compensation competitive analysis.
- Coordinate special projects including enhancements to compensation tools such as the JDXpert job description database and PayScale salary survey software.
- Support regulatory projects by ensuring compliance through detailed analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of compensation tools, resources, and frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure market competitive compensation programs.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates should have a BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong data analysis and presentation skills, client service focus, relationship management, attention to detail, collaborative orientation, and an appreciation for confidentiality are essential.
