About The Role
As a ICTx R&D Science and Materials Intern, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various R&D teams within the ICTx division, including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Guidance (PCIG), Atherectomy and Interventional Heart Failure (IHF) with a focus on New Product Development (NPD). You will support test methods, design and execute experiments, prototype innovations, troubleshoot new product/process problems, investigate new technologies, and contribute to various project teams.
Responsibilities
- Support test methods, experiment design and prototype development.
- Analyze test results and document findings.
- Troubleshoot design and manufacturing process issues.
- Recommend new technology for innovative medical device creation.
- Contribute to product design, process studies, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Commitment to full internship program periods: May 18 – August 7 or May 26 – August 14.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to the Arbor Lakes, Minnesota location.

Additional Information
This internship follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in the local office 3-4 days per week. Relocation and housing assistance may be available for eligible candidates. Boston Scientific does not offer VISA sponsorship for this position.
