Our North American team, based in New York, started in 2014 and expanded its technology and design capabilities in 2017 through the acquisition of MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab. What You'll Do as an IT Consultant

As an IT Consultant at BCG Platinion, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their digital transformation journeys. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with client leadership to understand challenges, define IT strategies, and gain buy-in for recommendations.
• Collaborating with BCG case team members to translate client potential into high performance.
• Deploying customized IT strategies, digital platforms, and architecture leveraging state-of-the-art tools such as cloud computing, AI, blockchain, microservices, and containerization.
• Taking responsibility for specific project components, evaluating and coaching client technology teams, and managing quality and risk while maintaining client expectations and handling escalations.
• Developing groundbreaking projects by enabling clients to effectively utilize agile methods and modern approaches within strategic IT implementation contexts.
• Applying your technical consulting skills to a variety of technology topics and strategic technology questions.
• Receiving extensive training, including technology-specific modules and mentoring, to continuously enhance your technical skills.
• Contributing to project proposals, client care, building peer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

What You'll Bring

To excel in the IT Consultant role, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences:

• A university degree with above-average academic performance in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, or Information Technology.
• 3-6 years of experience in IT Strategy and consulting, professional software development, or IT project management.
• Prior experience from a consulting firm, specifically focused on technology and digital initiatives, with expertise in IT organization and process development.
• Experience with a range of technologies that enables you to analyze legacy environments and propose modernization approaches.
• A proven track record using different delivery methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall, with a preference for experience in Digital and Agile transformations at scale.
• Experience in IT organization and development process methodologies.
• The right balance between functional and technical trade-offs, and experience in data migration, cutover, and PMO.
• A deep understanding of various integration patterns and best practices, including events, synchronous vs. asynchronous communication, and data integration.
• Strong business acumen, capable of framing complex problems within appropriate business contexts.
• A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving environments.
• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills, strong customer focus, and mental agility coupled with a results orientation.
• Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a significant plus.

Additional Information

This position is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The role involves travel, as you will have opportunities to work with clients and BCG teams globally. The amount of travel will vary based on client needs and project requirements, and at times, significant travel to client sites may be involved.
