Job Description

The Quality Engineering Intern role is part of HydraForce’s internship program designed to develop future engineering resources. Interns will support the Quality Engineering group, working in areas including Inspection Labs, SQE, QE, and Warranty. This internship offers exposure to challenging projects that increase in technical complexity based on performance and proficiency.

Supporting Job Elements

  • Assist in continuous improvement projects
  • Support activities such as inspection, sorting, fixture design, and assembly
  • Perform measurement system analysis and hydraulic testing for failure analysis
  • Help troubleshoot valves, test stands, and supplier quality reviews
  • Create and improve documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, work instructions, and process flows

Internship Dates & Compensation

This internship runs from May 27, 2026 to August 7, 2026. The US base hourly range is between $18 and $24, depending on credits accumulated. Please note that this is an internship position and full-time employment after graduation is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an engineering college undergraduate or graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Coursework or experience with databases, SPC, data collection, and PC hardware (RS232 interface preferred)
  • Experience in statistical analysis, lean tools (required), and measurement systems (preferred)
  • Basic experience in 3D modeling and CNC programming is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills required; MiniTab experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team

Majors Desired

Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering

Must Have
