Job Description

The Production Equipment Maintenance Technician supports the production facility on 2nd shift by maintaining all production machinery. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, modifying, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.

  • Troubleshoot machine tools, assembly lines and test stands.
  • Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose issues and predict failures.
  • Disassemble, repair or replace broken parts; adjust functional components.
  • Diagnose electrical problems within machine circuitry.
  • Use blueprints, schematics, and manuals to guide maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain maintenance records and update machine documentation.
  • Keep a clean and orderly work area and perform miscellaneous duties.
  • Utilize continuous improvement concepts to meet production standards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: • 7+ years in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment. • 3+ years with machine drive trains, precision spindles, pneumatic, hydraulic and fluid systems. • 3+ years troubleshooting and analyzing machine failures. • 3+ years repairing production equipment and controls. • 3+ years with safety procedures and hand tools. • 2+ years MS Office experience. • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications: • Machine shop and shop floor experience. • Experience with PLCs and controls, lathes, grinders, stamping, milling, brake presses. • Plumbing, mechanical and electrical repair skills, and ability to read schematics. • Flexibility in work schedules and proactive problem solving. • Journeyman machinist level is a plus.

Additional Information

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday, with overtime and occasional Saturday shifts. Training will occur on 1st Shift for the first six weeks.
