About the Role
The DoD Contracts and Acquisition Analyst serves as a contracting functional expert, handling contract management duties by assisting with pre-award, award, and post-award activities. The role involves program acquisition, contracting, and intellectual property strategy, while leading a small team and developing and maintaining program documentation including STRAPs, J&As, RFP packages, SOWs, TIs, TARs, PRs, CDRLs, and other contract artifacts.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with pre-award, award, and post-award contracting activities.
- Develop and manage acquisition documentation and artifacts.
- Oversee contract actions and milestone management.
- Support program data calls, financial reviews, and audit preparations.
- Monitor contract financial allocations, obligations, and expenditures.
Basic Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in contract management or administration supporting the Navy or the DoD, with a proven record in drafting acquisition documents and leading a team. Must have experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations System (DFARS), proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and a Secret clearance. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience within NAVSEA, NAVAIR, or similar Military Systems Command.
- Familiarity with unmanned systems acquisition programs.
- Understanding of the Defense Acquisition System (DAS) and Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF).
- Certification such as DoD DAWIA or CFCM is a plus.
Clearance & Work Model
Applicants must have a Secret clearance. The work model offers flexibility including remote, hybrid, or onsite work depending on the specific role requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary is determined by various factors with a projected annualized range of $69,400 to $158,000. Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement programs, paid leave, professional development opportunities, tuition assistance, and more.
