About the Role

The Cloud Computing Application Architect at Booz Allen Hamilton will design and implement cloud-based technical architectures that support mission-critical communications, including satellite communications. You will leverage modern cloud technologies such as microservices, serverless functions, API gateways, containers, and automation to improve client environments and drive cloud migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design secure, cloud-based networks for critical operations
  • Develop cloud solutions and recommend tools based on research
  • Collaborate with migration teams to ensure cloud migration standards
  • Guide teams to overcome technical challenges
  • Enhance skills in automation and cloud security

Qualifications

  • 5+ years designing and implementing cloud-native applications using microservices, serverless, and containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with LAN, WAN, and data communications networks
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and server automation
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM, network security, and data encryption
  • Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with space systems or satellite communications
  • Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or IaC tools
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit and JavaScript
  • TS/SCI clearance and AWS Certification
