About the Team: MySQL-Service Discovery
The MySQL-service discovery team designs, builds, and operates core service discovery solutions for MySQL database infrastructure. The team enables reliable, automated, and scalable discovery and connectivity for thousands of MySQL instances across business units. They are focused on automation, robust monitoring, and migration of databases to AWS.
Role Description
The Risk & Compliance Officer partners with risk owners across tech and other business units to design and maintain internal controls in line with our risk appetite. The role involves close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, risk identification, analysis, and treatment, and requires a keen eye for both big picture and details.
Key Job Responsibilities And Duties
- Support risk owners by designing sustainable, right-sized controls.
- Participate in sprint planning to identify and mitigate risks.
- Support IT policy lifecycle management including cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct third-party due diligence and perform privacy and security risk assessments.
- For MySQL specific responsibilities, execute Level 1 operations, handle audits, manage change, and oversee compliance ticket and backlog management.
Role Qualifications And Requirements
Candidate should hold a Bachelor degree with 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, auditing, corporate governance, risk management or internal controls. Strong stakeholder management, technical understanding of internal controls and ability to break down large tasks into manageable actions is essential. Flexibility and agility are required to adapt to dynamic business and regulatory environments.
