Role Overview
The Procurement Manager Marketing is responsible for designing and executing category strategies in digital marketing across Booking Holdings. The role involves managing complex sourcing projects, aligning procurement with strategic objectives, and driving cost savings and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Strategy & Sourcing: Co-design and own strategies managing annual spend between €50M–€150M; lead sourcing projects worth €1M–€50M; analyze supplier markets; integrate sustainability, risk, innovation, and compliance.
- Supplier & Performance Management: Develop governance frameworks including KPIs and scorecards; ensure performance consistency and contract adherence; manage risks and support supplier development.
- Team Management: Lead an inclusive team, balance strategic and operational priorities, and encourage continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a procurement partner for digital marketing leaders; manage relationships in a multinational, matrixed environment; align closely with finance, legal, and compliance teams.
- Value Creation & Reporting: Drive cost savings, process efficiency, and innovation; monitor savings, value creation, and risk metrics; contribute to financial planning and transformation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Expertise in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa) and analytics tools (e.g., Sievo, Simfoni).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Over 5 years of procurement or category management experience in marketing within multinational organizations.
- At least 2 years in people leadership roles with a history of delivering significant cost savings.
