Role Overview
As a Group Product Manager, you will lead a portfolio of next generation payments platform within FinTech Products that empower product and engineering teams to build and run our next generation services. You will partner closely with teams across the organisation to deeply understand their end-to-end business flows, platform and infrastructure challenges, and translate these into a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area.You will own a portfolio of platform products that enable product and engineering teams to build, migrate, and operate payment capabilities with greater speed, safety, traceability, and scalability. You will translate complex business, platform, and infrastructure needs into a clear track vision and product strategy, align multiple teams around shared outcomes, and help shape how Booking.com modernizes its payments foundations.
This role requires strong product leadership, deep technical fluency, and excellent people management. You will lead and develop a team of product managers, resolve cross-team dependencies, and partner closely with engineering, architecture, finance, compliance, and product leaders to drive strategic modernization initiatives end to end.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Influence decision-making at all levels of the company. You’ll create product strategy and roadmaps that identify areas where improvement is needed; and capitalize on unmet opportunities, via actionable product initiatives
- Define and own the track strategy, product vision, and long-term roadmap for NGPP and related modernization initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional team to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals
- Lead a team of product managers; coach them on product craft, prioritization, stakeholder management, and delivery excellence.
- Define success metrics for new initiatives and track them on a regular basis to ensure that all projects and existing functionality are moving towards our defined goals
- Drive modernization outcomes that improve developer velocity, platform reliability, testability, compliance readiness, and operational efficiency.
- Responsible for cross track collaboration and strategic track support of strategic initiatives
Role Qualifications And Requirements
- 10+ years of proven experience in (technical) product management experience in an Engineering or Technology Strategy role with multiple cross functional teams
- Experience with microservices, cloud platforms (AWS is a bonus), and complex systems in production, at scale
- 3+ years of people management experience, successfully managing and mentoring a team of product managers as direct reports
- Experience managing various types of resources, making trade-offs and prioritizing as if managing your own business. P&L experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills - Being able to communicate efficiently both strategic vision and specific details to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual project members. Being able to write clear and concise product requirements, status updates and product results
- Strong analytical skills - Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend effective action plans to resolve issues
- Strong organizational and project management skills - Someone with responsibility to ensure multiple projects are completed in an appropriate and timely manner. Experience with agile methodologies is highly preferred
- Ability to thrive to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment with multiple responsibilities
