Team and Department
This role is part of the Content Intelligence team within the Marketplace AI department, leading Generative AI innovation and powering travel-related ML solutions.
Role Description
As a Data Engineer II - GenAI, you will work with engineers and data scientists to build robust data pipelines for training and optimizing GenAI models. You will ensure high-quality data flow from multiple sources, work with cloud and on-premise data technologies, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support ML-driven decision making.
- Develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines.
- Handle massive textual data sources for training models.
- Ensure end-to-end data quality for ML applications.
- Experiment with new tools to boost performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and analysts.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields is required along with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Data Engineer. Experience in building production data pipelines, schema design, cloud solutions and proficiency in languages like Python and Java is essential. Familiarity with big data frameworks, relational/NoSQL databases, and data warehousing is required. Experience processing large-scale language models and handling A/B testing is an advantage.
