Overview

The Business Security Analyst role at Booking.com is an individual contributor position supporting the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) across one or more Business Units (BU). This embedded SS&F analyst works closely with Tech and Product teams to enhance security, safety, and fraud risk postures while ensuring BU compliance and risk management.

Role Description

Reporting to a Risk & Compliance Manager, you will support the BISO by defining and overseeing the BU’s security, safety, and fraud roadmap. Your responsibilities include assessing and monitoring SS&F risks, championing SS&F awareness, building stakeholder relationships, and representing the BISO in meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify, report, and monitor SS&F risks within the BU.
  • Provide periodic insights to BU leadership for risk-based decisions.
  • Champion SS&F awareness and promote security best practices.
  • Support operational improvements and risk remediation activities.
  • Represent the BISO at meetings and act on their behalf.

Experience & Skills

Requirements include 3 to 5 years of experience in Cyber Security, Safety, or Fraud; a sound understanding of technology processes; IT risk management skills; and excellent English communication. Additional cybersecurity qualifications (CISM, CISSP, etc.) are a plus.

Other Characteristics

Candidates must be open-minded, collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. Strong consulting, communicating, and independent problem-solving skills are essential.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
