The Opportunity: Business Development Manager, EMEA Advertising
The Business Development Manager, EMEA Advertising will lead the growth of Booking.com's Travel Media Network across EMEA, focusing on driving sponsored advertising solutions. You’ll play a crucial role in driving growth, building new partnerships and delivering impactful advertising solutions. This role will involve ads sales skills and requires someone with a background in business development, a good understanding of the advertising landscape and who is eager to take our advertising business to the next level. The role will report into the Commercial Manager Advertising based in Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Client acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing pipeline of Booking.com accommodations partner base through networking and outreach. Actively prospect new clients while maintaining high lead generation to expand the client base.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction. Create compelling proposals and presentations within the guidelines/parameters set by the core advertising team that highlight the value of our advertising solutions. Set up opportunities for upselling or cross-selling other Booking.com advertising products.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the EMEA sponsored advertising team, the product and local partner services teams to ensure alignment on efforts, business objectives and deliverables. Work closely with our 3rd party tech team to ensure the successful execution of the first campaigns.
- CRM and Reporting: Use and develop CRM tooling to manage your accounts, provide regular progress updates, and ensure transparent communication with the management team.
- Internal Education and Representation: Guide internal education on the advertising program through quarterly kick-offs and other training sessions. Represent Booking Advertising at partner-facing events and conferences.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of digital media sales experience, ideally within the travel or hospitality industry. Experience with sponsored advertising is essential.
- Languages: Fluent in either French or Italian (please ensure this is clearly stated in your CV).
- Strong knowledge: e-commerce and travel industry and related trends.
- Digital Expertise: Good knowledge of digital ad formats.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record in sales or business development, ideally in the advertising sector.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead high-level presentations, manage client relationships, and ensure alignment between client objectives and internal team execution.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with tools like Excel and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
