Administrative Bookkeeper - Bon Appétit Management Company

Bon Appétit Management Company is seeking an immediate hire for a full-time Administrative Bookkeeper at Union College, Schenectady, New York. Online applications are accepted only.

Job Summary

The Administrative Bookkeeper will maintain complete and systematic records of business transactions for the assigned business unit. This role involves direct customer interaction, financial record-keeping, and supporting the Controller with closing procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers, resolve complaints, and relay feedback to supervisors, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Assist the Controller with reports and weekly closing procedures.
  • Verify, allocate, and post business transactions from various documents into journals or computer files.
  • Summarize transaction details in ledgers or computer files and transfer data to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile and balance accounts.
  • Compile records for statistics such as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable/receivable, and profit/loss.
  • Calculate employee wages from time cards and submit payroll registers.
  • May prepare tax reports, compute and mail monthly statements, and complete records to trial balances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
