The Role of a Quantitative Research Manager
As a Quantitative Research Manager, you will be an integral part of our research and insights team, managing all quantitative research activities. A key aspect of your role will also involve supporting and nurturing client relationships as part of our broader business management efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively identify and develop new opportunities with existing clients, proactively anticipating their business needs and leveraging Bolt Insight's cutting-edge research technology effectively.
- Lead client briefing meetings and collaboratively contribute to shaping project proposals alongside the business lead to ensure client expectations are not just met, but exceeded.
- Craft exceptional questionnaire designs based on client briefs, demonstrating the ability to challenge assumptions where necessary to ensure all research objectives are comprehensively achieved.
- Effectively lead the project management of all approved projects, providing strategic account management support for new and prospective projects.
- Assume full responsibility for the overall quality of projects, overseeing every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial set-up and design of sample plans/surveys to creating in-depth analysis for the delivery of final data.
- Prepare comprehensive client reports featuring valuable, actionable insights to be presented directly to clients.
- Provide clients with clear, actionable recommendations designed to significantly improve their brand positioning and overall strategy.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of quantitative research experience in a direct client-facing role.
- Proven experience in an operational and project management capacity, including expertise in questionnaire design and insight generation.
- Demonstrable experience with segmentation, Usage & Attitudes (U&A) studies, and innovation studies, particularly concept testing.
- Prior work experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, having collaborated with companies like Unilever, P&G, or Coca-Cola.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to maintaining consistency and accuracy across all deliverables.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent), with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sociology, or a related field of study.
- Proven analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills, enabling the delivery of high-quality work within agreed timelines.
