Job Overview
At Boeing, you will lead the Technology Governance Information Technology Senior Manager role within the Technology Governance & Optimization (TG&O) organization. This position is crucial for maintaining a transparent, secure, and compliant technology environment across Boeing's digital estate, encompassing both IT and Operational Technology (OT).
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive technology governance strategy. This role acts as a bridge between Governance, Risk, and Compliance functions and technical operations, ensuring visibility, defensibility, and optimization of the digital estate. A deep understanding of technology asset lifecycles, governance frameworks, strong leadership, and effective collaboration with senior stakeholders are essential. You will have management oversight for platform capability development, tooling operations, compliance activities, and organizational service delivery.
Position Responsibilities
- Execute a comprehensive Technology Governance strategy, including roadmap planning, budget management, and resource allocation, aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Design automated enforcement mechanisms to prevent non-compliant assets from accessing critical networks.
- Partner with Security Operations to map every visible asset to a known owner and risk profile.
- Establish and refine the “cradle-to-grave” process for technology assets in collaboration with the Asset Management team.
- Collaborate with Security, Procurement, and Engineering teams to integrate automated governance checkpoints into existing workflows, minimizing friction.
- Evaluate and improve Technology Governance processes for enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness, implementing automation where possible.
- Create executive-level dashboards tracking asset health, compliance drift, and the financial impact of governance programs.
- Support vendor management and industry participation related to Technology Governance and Asset Management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 8+ years of experience in leadership and/or management.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Governance, and/or Risk Management.
- 5+ years of experience with governance frameworks like COBIT, ITIL, or NIST.
- 5+ years of experience with Asset Management and Configuration Management Databases (CMDB), including associated tooling (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience in auditing or compliance roles, holding teams accountable to technical standards.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience utilizing excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage a team.
- Experience collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
- Experience utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver key metrics.
Additional Information
