Role Overview
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Support Coordinator to support the Materials Management team in Berkely, MO or Saint Charles, MO!
The Support Coordinator role encompasses duties across Production Material Coordinator, Crater & Packer, and Material Handler-Specialist classifications.
Key Responsibilities of a Support Coordinator
- Expedite and coordinate scheduled job assignments, resolving holdups.
- Manage receiving, movement, storage, and inventory of materials, parts, equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Process and issue tools, parts, and materials, ensuring proper storage and delivery.
- Handle obtaining, sorting, loading, unloading, pulling, moving, and recording items.
- Report obsolete, damaged, or inspection-required tool crib items.
- Operate various equipment including lift trucks, saws, hoists, and cranes.
- Layout and fabricate shipping containers of diverse sizes.
- Construct, repair, and assemble shipping containers.
- Properly tie down, block, and brace containers in transportation vehicles.
- Utilize measuring instruments, woodworking machine tools, and other necessary equipment.
- Assist with maintaining, investigating, and correcting automated data discrepancies for production work orders.
- Perform electronic data input or retrieval as required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position involves limited crawling and lying down, occasional forceful grasping, and requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and supporting up to 35lbs frequently. Bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and reaching are frequent. Exposure to noise, moving parts, and occasional elevated/uneven surfaces is expected. The ability to operate forklifts, tugs, scooters, or other vehicles is necessary. Eye, hearing, and other personal protective equipment are required.
This position is 100% onsite in either Berkely, MO, or Saint Charles, MO, and requires the selected candidate to work any assigned shift.
Security Clearance and Export Control
The ability to obtain a US Security Clearance is required, necessitating US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in inventory, stock, or supply chain.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift Operator Experience.
- Experience using computers, including typing and Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word).
Additional Information
- This is a union-represented, hourly position governed by the IAM 837 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- New hires and transfers may undergo training and a 120-calendar day probationary period.
- Relocation assistance is not provided; candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
- Boeing offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package including competitive base pay, variable compensation, health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Pay ranges from $21.00/hourly to $49.78/hourly, based on experience and market considerations.
