Overview

The Platform Development & Engineering Senior Manager at Boeing will lead and innovate in our Cloud and Developer Platforms organization. You will be responsible for creating world-class cloud solutions, driving automation and operational excellence, and integrating cloud services with modern developer workflows.

Role Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver platform service roadmaps aligned with enterprise cloud strategies.
  • Lead engineering teams focused on automation, reliability, and SRE practices.
  • Manage environment lifecycles including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning.
  • Implement automation-first approaches with Infrastructure-as-Code and compliance automation.
  • Collaborate with Product Strategy & Governance to align platform capabilities.
  • Mentor teams to enforce technical excellence and modern engineering practices.
  • Provide cost, risk, and impact analysis for executive decision-making.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in cloud platform engineering, multi cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and managing SRE and DevOps teams. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees and long experience with scripting, networking, and container orchestration.
