Overview

The Platform Development & Engineering Senior Manager at Boeing drives cloud innovation by leading global, cross-functional teams in building resilient, secure, and scalable cloud services. This role is integral to developing end-to-end solutions, enhancing automation, and enforcing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver platform service roadmaps aligned to enterprise cloud strategy.
  • Lead engineering teams focusing on automation, reliability, and SRE practices.
  • Manage environment lifecycle including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning.
  • Drive automation using Infrastructure-as-Code and compliance automation.
  • Collaborate with Product Strategy & Governance to align platform capabilities with business priorities.
  • Mentor teams and enforce technical excellence in modern platform engineering practices.
  • Provide cost, risk, and impact analysis for platform design decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 10+ years in cloud platform engineering or product management.
  • 8+ years in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • 8+ years managing platform engineering and SRE teams.
  • 5+ years with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep) and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Extensive experience with scripting languages and networking concepts.
  • Experience with container orchestration and system configuration tools.
