Overview
At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to create a better world. Join as a Motive Equipment Operator and be part of our Facilities team in Renton and Everett, WA. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts, industrial trucks, tractors, and other vehicles to support manufacturing and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive assignments from the dispatcher via radio or tablet.
- Operate motive power vehicles to load, unload, move, position, and align materials and equipment.
- Manually pick, sort, load, and unload packages ensuring proper weight and safe loading.
- Secure loads using tarps, covers, slings, cables, and ropes.
- Operate small cargo trucks and tractors for efficient material transport.
- Perform daily inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Assist in liaison duties between departments regarding equipment transport.
Physical Demands & Safety
The role requires lifting up to 35 pounds, and performing physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and climbing. Employees must follow safety protocols and use personal safety gear.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of experience operating forklifts or similar equipment.
- Experience in moving and handling large loads.
- Ability to pass fall protection training and work at heights.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Additional Information
This is a 100% onsite role. Note that relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside in or relocate to the immediate area. The position is governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement and requires meeting Export Control requirements.
