Position Overview
The Flight Test Requirements & Analysis Engineer will support MQ-25 and/or F/A-18 test activities for the FOS ENG Pax team in Patuxent River, Maryland. This role may require travel to test sites such as Berkeley, MO, supporting the Integrated Test Team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document data analysis requirements for test objectives.
- Create test plans for flight and lab calibration tests.
- Design and implement complex calculations in support of test objectives.
- Coordinate with test facility personnel for real-time data display and recording.
- Troubleshoot and support test data issues during test activities.
- Process and analyze test data using PC hardware/software.
- Update avionics data bus traffic and PCM format definitions.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts and customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
- Experience in lab test or flight test environments.
- Ability to differentiate colors accurately for flight and test safety.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience with F/A-18, P-8A or similar Navy/Marine Flight Test Programs.
- Familiarity with test data processing systems and Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) systems.
- Experience in coordinating test instrumentation and developing aerodynamic computations.
Additional Information
This role is primarily first shift and may require additional shifts. The position offers relocation eligibility, a competitive Total Rewards package, and requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Person is required for export control compliance.
