Data Scientist (Level 2/3) - Supply Chain Fulfillment Process & Performance

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Supply Chain Fulfillment Process & Performance team. This role is based in Everett, WA, or North Charleston, SC, and operates on a 1st Shift schedule. Position Responsibilities:

• Utilize and apply job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Work under general supervision, with special assignments, making sound technical judgments.
• Contribute to the completion of specific project milestones.
• Interact primarily with internal personnel and infrequently with inter-organizational and external customers on routine matters.

Basic Qualifications/Skills/Years Of Experience (REQUIRED):

• (Level 2) 2+ years of experience in forecasting, planning, analytics, and supply chain processes.
• 2+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, logistics, or large-scale manufacturing environments.
• 2+ years of experience in Demand Forecasting and/or Data Simulation.
• Experience with RStudio and/or SQL knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/ Years Of Experience (DESIRED):

• (Level 3) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor's) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Programming experience in Python.
• Experience in Data Analytics and Statistics modelling.
• Experience in Tableau, Dataiku, Gitlab, or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Experience in SAP and/or Servigistics.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure.
• Experience in Operations Research from an airline, OEM, logistics company, etc.
• Certifications: Professional certifications in data analytics or specific BI platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, SAS) can be a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
