Kick‑start your career in data protection by joining our GBS Data Protection Team within Boehringer Ingelheim’s Legal & Compliance Department, where you’ll collaborate with global experts and gain hands‑on experience in real daily operations. In this 6‑month paid internship based in Wrocław (hybrid model), you’ll support our team, learn key tools and systems, and contribute independently to meaningful data protection activities. If you’re a student or recent graduate eager to grow in a dynamic environment, we’d be excited to meet you!

Tasks & Responsibilities

As a Data Protection Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing Data Processing Agreements and Standard Contractual Clauses using defined playbooks and risk parameters to deliver high‑quality assessments within agreed SLAs.
  • Supporting contract negotiations by preparing inputs and communicating directly with external partners to help internal stakeholders reach compliant solutions.
  • Managing Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) by identifying and registering Processing Activities in OneTrust, ensuring entries are complete, accurate, and aligned with internal guidance.
  • Performing data protection monitoring activities to confirm compliance with global procedures and escalate findings in a timely, structured manner.
  • Managing intake requests and cases by ensuring all matters are logged, tracked, and documented clearly in the designated systems.

About Our Future Employee

You should speak English fluently (min. B2 level) and have a willingness to learn on the job.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Student or recent graduate interested in the field of data protection.
  • The ability to manage time proactively, prioritize tasks, and work independently when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, reliability, and confidentiality.
  • The ability to collaborate well with others, demonstrate empathy, and maintain a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office; previous internship or student job experience and additional language skills are a plus.
