Nuclear Piping Preparation Technician
Boccard is seeking a Nuclear Piping Preparation Technician to join their Technical & Methods Department. This role is crucial for modification projects within the nuclear sector, acting as the main link between clients, design offices, and site teams.
Responsibilities
- Break down and mark isometric drawings for prefabrication and assembly, adhering to Boccard procedures.
- Prepare supports for prefabrication and installation.
- Record all relevant data in the ERP system (materials, welds, bends, etc.).
- Initiate isometrics and supports for prefabrication or assembly.
- Monitor the progress of prefabrication and site installation.
- Analyze and manage revisions, assessing their impact on work.
- Create and manage site modification sheets.
- Perform measurements for purchase orders (supports, insulation, painting, gaskets, bolts, etc.) and conduct site surveys.
- Update isometric drawings.
- Draft technical reports and intervention sheets.
Qualifications
- Technical background with solid knowledge in reading isometric drawings, plans, and PIDs.
- Understanding of piping construction codes.
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar piping preparation role.
- Technical versatility, analytical mindset, and rigor are essential.
