Position Purpose

The Lead Business Analyst will drive business analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement initiatives for the Know Your Customer (KYC) and due diligence functions within BNP Paribas. The role ensures that KYC processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with regulatory standards through Agile methodologies, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and automation testing strategies in a globally distributed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and document business requirements for KYC, due diligence, Tax, and Regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Operations, Front Office, Compliance, and IT to translate needs into BRDs and functional specifications.
  • Analyze data, market trends, and conduct gap analysis and process mapping for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design solutions, and represent findings in architectural committees.
  • Build delivery plans, define EPICs, create user stories, and write acceptance criteria using Gherkin or other tools.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile principles and promote an automation-first mindset to reduce manual efforts.
  • Work with QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and oversee UAT processes.
  • Manage change processes to ensure seamless adoption of new features.
  • Define KPIs and use insights for continuous improvement while mentoring team members.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Mandatory Skills: Proven experience in leading complex system implementations, strong analytical and process management skills, excellent communication, and proficiency with technical tools (SQL, PL/SQL, Swagger, Cucumber, Gherkin) along with a good understanding of data governance and technical infrastructure.

Nice To Have Skills: Experience with KYC applications specifically Fenergo, and familiarity with BPMN tools such as Camunda.
